THREE SIMPLE STEPS
How to download an Instagram Reel
- 01
Copy the video link
Open the Reel on Instagram, use its Share menu and choose Copy link. Paste the individual instagram.com/reel/ link above, rather than a profile URL.
- 02
Prepare your file
Paste the link above and sign in to YTClip. We check the available video and prepare an MP4 within your plan's limits.
- 03
Save it to your device
Select Download MP4. Your file stays available for ten minutes. On a phone, look in Files or your browser's Downloads menu.
MORE THAN A SAVED VIDEO
From saved Reel to your next edit
Once saved, your Reel is a regular MP4 file. Upload it in YTClip Pro to shorten it, add editable captions or create another export shape. For private or unavailable Reels, use the original file from your device in the clip editor.
Clear limits. No surprise charges.
Download allowances are separate from clips and AI minutes. Free includes 2 downloads from each platform. Pro and Enterprise share one larger allowance across all three tools. Allowances renew on a rolling 30-day basis. Failed preparation does not count.
| Plan | Downloads / 30 days | Video length | File size | Source quality |

| Pro | 30 total | 30 min | 250 MB | Up to 1080p |
| Enterprise | 100 total | 60 min | 500 MB | Up to 1080p |

Questions about downloading Instagram Reels
How do I download an Instagram Reel?
Copy the public Reel's link from Instagram's Share menu. Paste it above, sign in to YTClip and select Prepare download. Save the MP4 when it is ready.
Do I need to log in to Instagram?
No Instagram password is requested. You sign in to YTClip to manage your free download allowance. Reels that require an Instagram login to retrieve are not supported.
Can I save Reels from private accounts?
No. Only supported public Reels can be retrieved. If the Reel is yours, upload your original video to YTClip Pro instead.
Why might a public Reel not download?
Instagram can restrict automated access even to public posts. Deleted Reels, region restrictions, login requirements and temporary platform limits can also prevent retrieval. Failed preparation does not use your download allowance.
Is this downloader free?
A free YTClip account includes 2 YouTube downloads, 2 TikTok downloads and 2 Instagram Reel downloads in a rolling 30-day period, each up to 10 minutes and 100 MB, with quality up to 720p when available. Pro and Enterprise have higher separate download allowances. No card is required for Free.
How long is my download available?
Your download link works for 10 minutes after the file is ready. We then automatically delete the temporary file. We keep the link available during that window so you can retry an interrupted transfer. Save a copy to your device before it expires.
Do downloads use AI or clip credits?
No. Full-video downloads have a separate allowance. Preparing a download does not use clip credits or AI minutes. If you later use caption or transcript tools, their normal AI allowance applies.
